The Hive has stated in communication that we could either subvert your lone rover via probe or you could take the base, which gets a new name every turn. I suggested, on behalf of the Hive and it's new Chairman, that neither of us take aggressive action.
To demonstrate, I refrained from taking your lone rover, which, along with our other rovers nearby, would have protected the base for several years. This was to open a window for the diplomacy that you've requested. What did you do? You ignored my olive branch and took the undefended base. You took advantage of the Hive's gesture of goodwill. Soon you will face the consequences!
We can understand your policy of not tolerating our peoples on your shores. We feel similarily about Hobbits. However, there was a fine line between demanding our leave-taking and simply destroying our efforts towards negotiation. You may well remember this choice.
