There is less community spirit there. People come in from all over.

It's the same with my city. Which is still small, but we are over 1 million people now. But we will never have a pro team because we have no community spirit. It doesn't help our town wasn't founded until 1904.

Reis et. al.

A grudging amount of respect is due the Bucs as they completley handled the Eagles.

With the exception of special teams the Eagles had no game at all.

I give you guys kudos for an impressive win and make no excuses.

OTOH, I still see the Raiders coming out on top in the Big Game.


I would wish you good luck, but I gotta pull for the Riaders if only to see Sapp and Meshawn get their just rewards.

In any event, congratulations on a fine victory.

Liverpool and Everton both have birds (not the same bird but.....)as their mascot, and theyv'e met a few times in what are the equilivent(sp) of championship games

Raiders are different from Buccaneers. Not a huge difference, but it's there.
Eagles vs. Falcons would've been an interesting game in terms of mascots.

ahh someone has bumped this thread.

I think my post earlier in this thread proves I predicted the Buc would be the Eagles

And I didn't just predict that the Bucs had a chance. I predicted that the Eagles had very little chance of winning that game. The only way the Eagles could have won was if they caused more Buc turnovers.

I meant an NFL team called the Indians. That's about as different from the Redskins as the Buccaneers are from the Raiders.

Have the Indians and Braves ever played in the World Series? If so, that could be the first time two teams with the same mascot met in a championship game...
