hi ,
okay guys , here is the reason ;
many years ago a group of people noticed a couple things around them in Israel , children are victims , okay no problem , there are hospital's , sure there are , but some children have to stay in them for very long times at ones , so we decided to do something , we made a liitle gaming club , chess , games , etc , .....
one day an officer walks in , his sons birthday was up and he bought CIV II for him , together with a laptop , while playing the game we noticed something , several children dropped what they where doing and started to watch us , so we gave the children a try , and before we knew it we where starting to download mods and scenario's from apolyton , .......
so we decided to get a couple laptops and other comps , many of the children cant move out of the bed , they just lay there , but they can use the hands , so very soon we discovered that true the use of a mouse a child learns to coordinate its movements , etc , .... so the docters started to like it (  ) and we discovered several other things , amongst them that civ is a game where you are in control , a positive game , where you get addicted to that one more turn syndrome , we discovered that those kids where in need of something more then the regular school or nurse or teacher could give , ..... what they needed whas met in civ , .....
the results , sinsce 1999 we now have 92 laptops with civ and several mac 23 inch screens for the ones who have poor eyesight and so , ... we have bought with one dollar at the time , but what happens , in most nowaday copies there are no maps , no posters , no nothing , just a dvd type box with a small book in it and the game cd , thats it , .... 
we have some posters but they are old and used , many where lost , others are used so heavy they are put together with meter's of tape , ....
and then last but not least , here is something intresting for (lets hope) our new project ;
one day the ER was full due to several accidents so an adult was brought in , he had to chare the room with a child , after a couple of days we found out what happend , the guy was trying to see what the kid was doing and he started to play with him , one day we found the kid sitting on the bed , and together they where playing a mod , ....
the guy was an islamic teacher ( the type that calls for evil things in his temple ) , the kid an orhodox jew , .....
one small step towards peace , one small step , with a single step here and there we work towards a better place , ......
in 2001 several doctors started to notice our work and they did a small study on it , they have noticed several things , ....
-children learn more and are willing to learn more
>the reward tends to be time on the computer 
-children and adults develop faster and better eye-ear-hand coordination
-children heal faster because they have something they like and look forward to the next game , the next day
-we have now something that can be played when it rains , when the sun shines , when the wind blows , we have something that we can take where-ever and when we want for them , .......
-we now have a tool to make children learn basic computer skills
we have now a tool that lets the children forget what they went true , for at least a while , .... and its a start towards dealing with emotions , ....
well the list of positive stuff is a bit long , but so far only positive things have evolved from bringing the civ II and civ III games in the hospital
not to mention about the ones we take out to other countries in order to deal with the pain some of them go true on a day to day basis , ....
so that should be it , .....

Ming can maybe understand this a bit better then some others because he has a bit more live experience then some others , .....
and please dont start to spam because of this message (!)
there is enough pain and misery out there , for some only a look true a window , for others it are only pics in a newspaper , but you can take this to the bank ; " war and violence dont work in any single way to achieve the goals they are supposed to achieve " , .......
still , no matter from what planet you are , or what type of comp you have , gender , race , age , religion , etc , ....

posters is great
aldo , we noticed something in the last year , we are in need of manuals in different languages , so if you have like a french or so , why not
so far we have several in english ( one for each cd rom ) but they tend to be used , ..... now we laminate them , ones there was this kid who sayed ( he was like eight or so ) that the game on his screen was not the same , "look , here in the book , it says someting else" 
then there was this kid who foud a bug (!) he was not older then 10 and never before he had touched a screen , well Dan got a mail then , and guess what , the kid proved to be right , ......
send what you want , , but please dont send anything you might feel sorry about later down the line , ....
