We'll just play our turn now then, JohnSjVille will be put on ice, until Mayor John-SJ returns
Btw, I have changed the rules: People who begin their city late (or come back to the city after some time, like John-SJ might), should still follow our turns. This means if someone joins in now, he/she may only play two years, not the 6 years he/she is behind (This means according to newspapers, a city created today, will have a date of 2004, and not 2000)
Btw, updated the site:
http://www27.brinkster.com/zcollection/db/index.htm
As you can see, I have uploaded all pictures of the cities (from the right date (I hope)). I have also posted a newspaper, that I haven't posted here...
I just hope the picture sizes doesn't come too high (I have only 30 mb space, on the site, and I'm not planning on buying more space)

Luckily, school was canceled today due to weather, so I can get the files earlier than usual.
I'm currently downloading the other cities, mine will be uploaded soon, but it's not up quite yet.
Ocean City - New Stats:
Residential: 15157
Commercial: 2287
Industrial: 6417
Ocean City is experiencing much growth, which is putting a strain on city services. A second elementary school was built, and a large medical center to replace the 2 small medical clinics was built. Our industrial zones were expanded, and a small new commercial zone was built. Roads connecting the city to its neighbors were built, and a steady stream of commuters go to and from Elipolis every day. A University, a City Hall, and a Mayor's Statue have been given to the city, but construction on those will have to wait due to monetary costs.
Possible expansion includes building a seaport.

this is an interesting idea. Maybe I might get Sim City 4 after all if I can do this.

The latest city has been uploaded. Jan 2008. Therefore, I am missing the next turn, and will rejoin you all, when we go on to the 2010 checkpoint.
Several highlights of the changes:
1) A lot of new neighborhoods. (I am keeping the density low, because I am trying to have a sort of bedroom community - thus no skyscrapers.)
2) Water added!
3) Healthcare added!
4) Fire protection added!
5) Railroad system added. Note here that I connected to both ADG and Eli by railroads, so please, when you download my city, make sure that the connections are still there.
6) I was on the brink of debt, and had to get all the cash I could... Thus, I had to set up a deal selling electricity to Eli. Make sure to cancel that deal when you dl my city.
That would be all...

Wealthy neighborhood, a used car sales, and two disabled people rolling down the street. There was also a fight on the used car sales parking lot, but it ended before I could document it.

Remember the neighborhood that was just being built up last time? It is now home to medium-wealth Vovanburgians. (Vovanburgers? )

The wealthy folks are starting to come in... Yet there is too much garbage on their lawns...
