This is just symptomatic of the whole map in my opinion...very spartan detail on a good template.

hi ,

well we could remake some areas , like the mid east , the uk , etc , we could make them a bit bigger , .....

the whole med and europe should be a bit bigger , .....

or , ..... a map of 500 * 500 , .....

have a nice day

yeah, this is/would be my favorite map. i also cannot give el mencey enough props for it, in my eye's its flawless (except i change around starting locations).

but, as others are having problems with, i again got the dreaded "too many cities" message, playing as the russians, and most civs were just *starting* to really expand (i myself had 11 settlers moving into position). this just happened today, and i quit because i got so frustrated. again, a hell of a lot more room left on the map.

sorry, but i must ask this again, what moron would hardcode a reasonable 512 cities into the game.

MORON.

What moron would allow cities in the desert or tundra is beyond me. In my recent huge-map games, they aren't even allowed in forests. Makes it much easier to avoid the 512 cities problem.

Hello Gentlemen,

I'm on an XP 1800+ 700(and it's correct multiple) of RAM. Are you 100% sure it isn't going to function properly? I surely would like to play this map.

In any event, nice work m. El mencey.

I would expect it to function, just very slowly. The first load can really take a long time and seem to be hung.

Oh, gladly then. Thank you sir. I'm going to give a try promptly. Just hope my system doesn't overheat (that is, if it's possible. I'm not very knowledgeable about computers.)

Heating will not be affected by playing CivIII. PC's can over heat, if you do not have enough cooling. This should not be an issue as most humans will not want the room that hot either.

If you over clock, then you can run into heating issues, while the room temp is not too bad.

If in doubt, DL an applicatrion to check the temps.
