AHA!!

[18:04] yay! freezing rain! : dance :
[18:06] if you don't see me tomorrow, it's because the power went out.
[18:06] where are you at?
[18:06] eastern ontario. apparently the damn texans sent us a storm.
[18:07] ahh yes. I am in Rochester (semi near there,.. semi.. hehe) Buffalo should get the same
[18:07] "An intensifying low-pressure system moving up from Texas is threatening to bring rain, freezing rain, snow, strong winds or all of the above to southern Ontario starting tomorrow morning."
[18:07] hahah

It's coded talk, I just know it! They must be saying that Gathering Storm has a lot of territory, just like Texas is compared to most other states. They also mentioned the power graph... interesting.
They must have thought us for fools if they assumed that we wouldn't be able to crack their code, but I sure showed them!

Or maybe it's just a false alarm...

This one, however, is for real. Aro suggested that he do the maps for the ISDG and Vondrack started talking about the maps that they use at Legoland.
Timestamps are GMT+2:00.

[18:28] (vondrack|RL-working) I am always stitching a map together for the report thread
[18:28] (vondrack|RL-working) but I can imagine that we will need much more than that
[18:28] (Aro) I saw it
[18:28] (vondrack|RL-working) ATM, it's just small
[18:29] (vondrack|RL-working) but our map in Lego
[18:29] (Aro) In the future, maps will be big!
[18:29] (vondrack|RL-working) in now put together from several screens

So, Lego's island is quite big. That explains the horrendous amount of barbarians that they speak of.

Edited to display nickname tags.

He's not necesairly taking about the lego territory map, maps will become bigger and bigger no matter how much land you own

* Just indicating that it's risky to draw conclusing based on very little concrete info *

That doesn't mean ofcourse, you can't be right.

Just picked something from the public forum..

G.F. don't you know? You don't need a nuke to obliterate their citys just have a swordsman come close to the city and puff all that's left is a piece of rubble. It happened twice already! Never become citizen of Lux you'll have to burn your home then.

So Lux razed another one (of it's own city's)?

No, he was referring to the world maps that he does for his team (after Aro talked about the world maps that he does for the C3DG and intends to do for the ISDG). Since they're still completely isolated, their world maps can contain only their own island (which I assume they have completely mapped out by now), and since Vondrack said that he has to stitch together several screens in order to make their world maps, it means that their landmass is big (I'd estimate that it's at least as big as ours, if not bigger).

Good catch.
So they have either 2 or 1 cities left, depending on whether the 2nd raze took place before or after we were given the report that they only have 2 cities left.

Get a bigger avatar today!

Lux Invicta are "holding the save hostage", as GhengisFarb put it, since yesterday. Any idea why?

Btw, GhengisFarb is such a wonderful source of intelligence. He says that Lux is in constant retreat, and actually hasn't fought a single battle yet. Oh, and "Their down to one size one city and it has an ND swordsman and two GoW Horsemen adjacent to it".
More news at 11.

Oh, umm, for some reason I stripped the nicknames off that log... dunno why this happened. Strange stuff. Next time, I'll make sure that I pasted the log correctly before I post.
Anyway it was just Vondrack and Aro talking.

You have to strip the >< thingies. The board interprets them as a command when they are closed and the text between is not displayed.

I know almost for certain that no GoW units have had the chance to fight with Lux units, so we almost certainly know that this is all that they lost so far (other than two cities, of course).
According to Ghengis, they're down to their last city. In our best interest, I hope that they give ND and GoW hell before they go down, and inflict as much damage as possible upon them.

I didn't expect them to raze the second city, we could have "taken" it out of their hands and done abit of exploring. Even if ND or GoW would have taken it from us, it would have been nice.

I'm not at all surprised that they abandoned it, considering that they'd already abandoned one. Abandoning a city you have a decent prospect of holding wastes production, but if a city is almost certain to be taken before it can produce anything more, and you don't expect ever to be in a position to take the city back, why not?

Note that by withdrawing like this, Lux makes it possible to concentrate all of their surviving forces in their capital. That may give them an outside chance of holding on where losing units in a hopeless fight to defend another city before the enemy reaches their capital would not.
