Trip is correct.

This thread fell into disuse right about the time I was elected, but I will note that BigFree was still a Consul during that period as well.

Frankly, it's not really useful for much other than +1s. I included a line in the turn report when I came into office that states the exact time at which the save was sent to CFC, effectively making this thread obsolete. You can also post that the save has arrived in the appropriate turn thread (which is typically done by at least SOMEONE), which also conveniently bumps the thread. Having yet ANOTHER thread simply for posting when the save arrived and was sent is entirely pointless - the reason this thread died.

I'm glad you expressed your need to change procedure/policy.

How about for those people that only just pop in for a few minutes every day? Why must they check another site's forum to find out what is going on with our turn?

You may think it's not a big deal because you spend more time on the game than the average team member. Let me remind you, we have over 100 members on this team. What you may think is redundant may not be so for another.

You are a Consul. You serve the team. The team does not serve you.

Just because someone forgot about the existence of this thread it does not mean that no one missed it or would like to see it's use now and in the future.

vondrack, nye, ect used this thread; why are the current Consuls above it?

You can close this thread again if you like Arnelos; it will just serve to further my point about your general attitude of wanting and abusing power.

Just to clarify what the purpose of this thread was: if you subscribe to it (using the Poly 'subscribe' feature), you get email announcements when there is a new post added to it (read: when the new turn arrives). I thought it would be a convenience for those that do not check the forum that often and are mostly interested in following the turns being played.

You know vonD, I never thought of that use for it....

I always just looked here when at work and I couldn;t risk starting the game itself. Most useful it was.

And I am closing this thread. If vonD or the Consuls want it reopened they have the power to do so. I just want this thread kept free of the posts that ahve been flying around too much recently.
