As much as I would like to agree, I can't.

Example... Calc doesn't show for 24 hours (it is the weekend) the "computer" makes his pick. Jdd makes both his picks, and now Calc is screwed again, and he only missed 24 hours.

That I have no problem with... that way, people on the "edges" of the draft are treated similar to those in the middle rounds that have more time between picks.

Or, another though:

24 hours AFTER you miss your pick (ie, don't pick for 24 hours), your draft status goes to auto. Therefore the people on the edges have 48 hours.

So you mean we move along with the auto-pick reserved until they show up, or we move along and they get the highest rated at the time they show up, or their choice at the time they show up (guess this way it makes no difference) ? Personally I wouldn't mind reserving the highest rated because so fat I wouldn't have picked either of them (Guerrero or Ordonez). But I will defer to those with more experience with these things (and I'll keep checking in every six hours or so).

3 1/2 weeks until the season starts......

You know, I re-read this... OH PLEASE! We're talking about 24 HOURS. I don't know anyone that isn't capable of accessing the internet at least once every 24 hours. Any disadvantage of being on the "edges" is out-weighed by the fact that you get two picks so close together.

Am I misunderstanding something?

I will disagree... some people only have access from work, and the weekends last more than 24 hours

In addition, there are times when I'm traveling that I can go without access for periods longer than that.

I personally think that if you can't make the effort to check this thread every 12 hours or so, you shouldn't have signed up for this in the first place. But that's only one mans opinion
