Alfred J. Kwak was made in the early nineties, I think... and even if it wasn't, it was shown in Finland in the nineties. That show rocked. Pinky and Brain was good too, and I remember watching Freakazoid every now and then.

Give me Alfred J. Kwak dubbed or subbed in Finnish or subbed in English, or give me death!

I've heard good things about Clone High but I disdain from watching MTV - maybe I'll DL the eps.

If you're interested in some of these shows check out www.dapcentral.org - It's the Digital Archive Project, they're converting certain series' that can be dl'ed using a specific server on eDonkey.

Although your post has given me an interesting idea...

Okay, most of the really good ones have been mentioned.

The Tick
The Critic
Daria
Dilbert

Pinky and the Brain, Futurama, Family Guy, those weren't bad either.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles started in the late '80s, but was on the air in the 90s. Not sure if those were new episodes or not, though.

But you heretics are missing a couple important ones.

Duckman.
Eek! the Cat.

How could you forget those?

Currently, Invader Zim is the best. Although I probalby can't say currently about it, since it keeps getting cancelled. Not sure what the absolute most current status is.

Now, if you want to add anime to the list...

Wraith
"It never hurts to help."

I completely agree. Tho it was marketed as a children's cartoon, it was high quality, for batman fans of all ages... not childishly corny, like most children's cartoons, just batman corny, heh.

Tick and Eek were my favs. A friend and I are always exchanging "Spoon!" and "It never hurts to help!" inside jokes. The "Galactus" episode really cracked me up!

I do enjoy Dexter, PPG.

Duckman, Pinky and the Brain, and The Critic were good, what little I saw of them.

For print comics, nobody beats Bloom County except maybe Dilbert and Pogo.

The Critic - who remains the episode where Jay reviewed the film where Arnold Schwarzenegger's undercover cop plays a rabbi?
"If you're a real Rabbi, circumcise this child!" He then whips around and throws the knife at the bad guys. Classic.
Other good movies Jay reviewed were "The Cockroach King" and "Home Alone 20"! Man I miss that show; it should never have been cancelled!

The Tick was brilliant! It should have been aimed at a more adult market though - kids just didn't appreciate enough! What other childrens cartoon show offered supervillains of the calibre of Josef Stalin, The Terror and The Man-eating Cow?
Memorable quote: The Terror to Stalin back in the 50's
"Josef, you've got to stop building these ICBM's and concentrate on creating Mutant Zombie Soldiers!"

Pinky and the Brain, X-Men and Spiderman were other favourites of mine.

Got spare money?

simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, the Critic

All great.

I don't watch kids cartoons except Eek! the Cat . I did find their star trek spoof utterly hilarious. I need to try to find that on a p2p server. That was great.

how can I forget Beavis and Butthead. I have a whole bunch on my computer.

They ruled. They ruled!! hehehe.

I liked their reviews of crappy videos more than anything. The stories were kind of dumb. I just like making fun of popular culture.

I think you can get more from Kazaa, all of my 47 episodes are from Kazaa. Some may be duplicates, but atleast 45 episodes. Judging from the episode numbers that is still maybe just half of the Family guys?
Funny thing they don't share the same format, some are avi, mpg, asf, mov...

Though I have to agree with

The Critic
Duckman
The Tick
The New Batman Adventures
Futurama

Runners up:
Pinky and the Brain
Frekazoid
Ren and Stimpy
Daria

I never cared for Eeek tha cat..the first few Family guys were good, but the show did not have consistnency long term.
