Indeed. Quite the opposite, in many cases. I used to have a lot of respect for Trip, back when his PC was lower. But now...

I had never seen any posts of Willems and had no idea who Henrik was although I had heard that he existed... but that's about it... knwoing 118/120 is fairly good I suppose!

of the top 100, i don't know 13 of them. but i don't feel so bad since all the new one's on the list must be civ3 people, and the others were huge losers, so they probably don't post here anymore, and if they were in the OTF I'd have seen them by now.

Although I love high post counts, etc. I do have to agree that Trip is really spamming here; although many of his posts are useful.
Then again, perhaps I am looking forward to him receiving a PCR as it will allow me to keep a better hold in the top 20 than my current situation merits.

Post counts, I consider, are the greatest thing to happen to forums.

I don't like posting at forums where I don't think I am accomplishing anything and post coutns are one way to seem as though you are accomplishing something.

And I get more Posts for responding to these things

I think that posts are the most important thing on these boards- if posts ceased to matter, I would probably gradually disappear (much as I have in the OT since PC no longer counted)
I constantly check my post count and compare it to others.
