Altough this issue isn't for me as fundamental as I told in the last reply, teenage mothers tend to be morons. If she wants to have babies and then cut her education, she's a sucker who deserves to live a miserable life.

Why? Why should comfortable lives be the entitlement only of the educated? Or the childless? There's a fair chance that kid will end up paying for the health care of old farts like us one day.

Good God. Some people seem to suggest that having a child grow up in less than ideal conditions is somehow abuse.

Most kids in this situation end up being fine upstanding citizens.

Further, life is a series of choices. You can realize that you made a mistake and work to correct it.

I'd have to disagree. though plenty rise up out this, i see a cycle going down of girls being like its alright if i get pregnant at 15 cause my mom did.

I personally know a girl-mother, but she has decided to contnue her studies, with only welfare support. However, despite she is convince she must move far of her hometown, she hasn't enough energy to think seriously about it. I try to help her with the practicalities in such a move : finding another uni, finding another kindergarten.

There is really not much you can do, if she thinks it's better to live at minimum wage, and if she thinks the baby is a blessing. But you can help her with presenting her the possible options, like doing all the administrative search and stuff for her GED (or whatever it is called). If one day she changes her mind, she'll gladly embrace one of the options you have suggested her, without the pain of doing all the time-wonsuming practicalities. Working lone mothers don't have much time and energy left for themselves.
