The marshes lie between Nikov and Kiev. To make matters worse, Nikov is seperated by even more swamp from the Minsk and smolensk. an attack south would have to be made by partisans and cossack cavalry with heavy support from sturmikovs.

With the moratorium on advancing into Germany proper until sufficient artillery arrives and the other fronts catch up, everyone has been looking for the Belorussian Armies to turn south, but what about the North? Now the Northwest front is planning to strike out at Daugavplis and Riga. What if a Belorussian group could seize Vilnius and protect the NW Front's flank while they drive for Riga on the Baltic?
As you can see in my attached picture, The army can follow either of two paths (or both) to reach Vilnius. However, two different problems exist for each potential route. On the eastern blue route, you can see the yellow dot on a forest square, the road was severed there last summer and would have to be repaired. For the western approach, our units would be exposed to units coming out of Germany more than I'd like. perhaps severing the road west at the red dot would slow down the Germans, I don't believe we'll be needing that road to advance into Germany, so no real loss there. But then we have German planes coming down on our marching troops. I circled Arzamas in black, we'd need to station a Shturmovik there to support our troops in the area directly sorrounding Vilnius, either approach we choose can be guarded easily enough IMO from bialystok until our troops reach Vilnius, then the Arzamas airbase would neer to take over.
IMO, the eastern advance is a safer approach, we just need to use a labor brigade to build us a road over that forest.

I think you're being overly dramatic comrade, yes, Kiev and Lodz have only two units apiece in them, but what the heck were you thinking when you ordered the attacks on those cities??? No defensive unit could keep up with your lighting attack. No amount of reinforcements I could possibly send you would solve your problem of grasping at far away cities.
However, since you feel that you are in so desperate a need for more troops. I order you to halt any attacks in the future until you have my approval while I bring forward more troops.
