i'm living in an all male flat (although 4 out of the 6 in the block are all birds, good ratio ). it's great, you can use the word cu*t, walk around in your boxers, scratch your balls while watching telly, watch channel 5 pornos in the kitchen and best of all, no one whines about the state of the kitchen/bathroom.

when deciding who to live with next year, i basically had four choices, one of the reasons i chose who i did was because it was the only all blokes flat.

These terms are in customary use. They're not ambiguous at all.

If somebody tells you to meet them at 12 pm and you show up at midnight, then you're either:

a) an idiot
b) not accustomed to NA english

If everybody agrees to a convention then it's no longer ambiguous.

I got wait listed at the U of Chicago. Between 3 and 16 percent of people wait listed get in (average 9%.) The soccer coach can put some pressure on the admissions, but it really depends on how many people decide not to go out of those who got accepted.

Actually, you're right! Although seeing "The Erotic Witch Project" on the TV several nights in succession was a bit pathetic, it was a good time. And of course, no-one did whine about the state of the kitchen because student accommodation has cleaners for the communal areas. Cashback!
