The advice was meant to be half-practical, and half-joking. If it bothers you that the word gay has multiple meanings, and that people can use these multiple meanings to generate double entendres, I'm sorry. But it is eighth grade, and calling Gianni gay would be how I would solve the problem.

My advice would to ignore him, and if he keeps going on to the girl about let her make it clear that she is in no way interested in him. This should sort stuff out better than spreading rumors or kicking him in the chins
