I fully agree with you, but I wanted to be sure...

I give (and get) enough 'official ratings' at my job, so I don't need any more from 'Poly, except, as you say, from my peers.

You can do it either way, I suppose. I just thought it would be "easier" to just rebuff them, since there could be no temptation to sell their improvements. Not that this is really a major issue in any case.

I think I will play it again now. I refused to accept a city that I really wanted gone. It was sitting on the road between me and my dye. Not that that would have let me win.....

BlueWaldo, try letting the AI civ (is it Korea, or India?) have the Dyes, and try trading for the Luxury. I think you'll be surprised at the bargain you'll get on it compared to normal games. I usually had to pay somewhere between 20 and 60 Gold per Luxury in my game. That's about 2gpt!

I finally got my copy of PtW working tonight. I had to re-install both CIV3 and PtW before it worked. I look forward to this OCC. I think I will lower myself to Regent. I have to be humble enough to admit that I can just barely beat Emperor on a lucky day, and normally have a tough time with Monarch as well.
