i think there has been some confusion, amoung our brothers across the pond. the proposed union of the US and the UK doesn't involve the UK becoming a state, but rather the US becoming a crown colony.

In all seriousness, I would like to see Canada, Australia, New Zealand and all of Europe join the United States. Maybe Russia someday too. IMHO it's the world's best hope to avoid future conflict and promote western values throughout the world.

Actually I think the US should be Mexico's 32nd state

1) everyone over there is starting to speak spanish
2) your kids are starting to play FOOTBALL (i.e. soccer) just like our kids
3) everyone is starting to like mexican food
4) soon hispanics will be the majority in many states

The 51st state will either be Peurto Rico (due to all the manufacutring going on there drawing a lot of Americans) or California (North and South)....

It's a stretch but one could argue we liberated a portion of Columbia in 1903. I wouldn't make that argument but a solid case can be made.

Entirely seriously, us conservative New Englanders can hardly wait for California to split off the continent. Los Angeles is an aberration:
a) a city in the middle of the desert that sucks up water for lawns and pools
b) even though it sucks up resources, it doesn't put anything out except for bad movies and actors
c) most celebrities are the shame of America. Commie, and mind-numbing. more teens know who's !@#$ing whom in Hollywood than where Iraq is.
d) they have no right to such warm weather. us good New Englanders deserve it more.
