You have every right to be an ignorant tw4t, just don't do it in a thread like this. |
I read the first couple of lines and decided it was not worth the read

"Parents have children and take care of them so that, in return, the children grow to take care of their parents, have children of their own, and carry on the family line. Yes, I think that it is a person's duty to have children, and I consider those who don't have children to have missed out on something."
Jeez! I bet you hate all those infertile couples who are unable to have children, huh? When they adopt, their parents must be spinning in their graves, right?
Not only are you close-minded, but you veil your selfishness in a cloud of righteous traditionalism. Very endearing.

Asher, congrats. I'm very happy for you.
As for Nationalist... frankly, not even worth the webspace this sentence takes up.

This brings up an interesting issue: cloning. What do you guys think? Say (hypothetically) one day down the road human cloning becomes acceptable and feasible. Will homosexual couples (in the case of men, assuming they have a willing female host) have the same trouble getting a child through this manner as they do today in adoption? |
The easier having kids comes for everyone, the easier it will be for gays to have them. It will always be more difficult for gays, but I think that's a good thing. It ensures gay parents will have to *really* want to have their children, unlike those who procreate sans thinking.
quote: Also, this raises the question of what happens if their offspring decides that they do *not* want to be a homosexual. Will these children be looked down upon as some homosexuals are by their parents? Will the homosexual DNA parents try to impose their sexual belief structure on the child? What are the moral implications of this? |
I know a few gay parents, and they have all raised their kids exactly like anyone else--under the presumption they will be heterosexual. That's the safe bet, since 90+% of kids will be heterosexual anyway. The difference is that, having gay parents, should the kid happen to be gay, the angst and fear encountered at the prospect of coming out is eliminated. So I think, in the end, it will mean no difference for straight kids, a huge difference for gay ones.
Now, there may be the few crap parents who try to force their kid into being gay, but they'll only be inflicting potential unneccessary trauma on them, just like straight parents who would shoehorn their kids into being straight.
...
And no, Nationalist isn't worth the effort. Not approving of gays is one thing, but to 'proudly' label oneself a bigot who hates gays as people...well, that's simply disgusting. Thankfully, folks like him are being relegated to the fringes of society more and more. Hopefully he won't end up bombing a Federal building someday.
The great irony is that, given his desire to have many kids (oddly, not out of seeming to want to share love, but just to procreate...nice priorities!), one of them will likely be gay.
Part of me pities that kids so much, since he/she will be in for so much hatred from a parent. But my darker side relishes the fact that such a thing would make Nationalist suffer. I'm beyond the point of hoping he learns, but just would love to know about his dispair...
but...
Since that would entail traumatizing his poor kids, who doesn't deserve such a thing, our only hope is that it turns out he's sterile. Everyone wins, then.
But good riddance to bad rubbish.

Boddington's should be hidden from society. No-one wants to read your inane rantings and homophobia.
