I agree, by the way.....exceedingly unlikely to occur....but because I like to cover every concievable angle when I'm thinking about a problem, I let my brain flit over EVERY possibility....even the unpleasant/unlikely ones....

As to guessing....egads....I dunno....I'll guess that they'll have 5 Immortals left when the dust settles, but I have no clue as to the Hp array.

It is a very sad thought. I have been thinking it for the past day. I never posted it because, of the obvious issues it brings up. Lets hope that honesty wins over the desire to win at all costs.

What do you think is going on? What is taking them so long?
I see two possibilities here:
1. They attacked, failed miserably, and are trying to come up with some way to save their own asses.
2. They haven't attacked yet. They are running a discussion/poll whether to attack Arashi or to move elsewhere.

Yeah, I think those are the two main options. If they had attacked and done well they would have sent the turn on by now.

I get the impression from what I've read that there's a way to know how many units are in a stack by looking at the stack (without having to click on it). Could someone please tell me how that works? Unless someone changed the settings to negate my changes, we'll be able to do some tinkering during the build phase of the turn if we want to. We can make more effective use of that capability if we can find out how many units Vox has in our area.

Sorry, can't help you. The only way I know of to look inside a stack is to right-click.

I'd be amazed if there was any other way.

Oh yeah, of course the *number* of units in a stack (up to a limit - eight?) can be derived from the white bars. It doesn't tell you anything more detailed than that. I really don't think it tells you all that much.

When could you see the white bars of a stack when you could NOT right-click on it?

If I knew what I meant, I wouldn't have had to ask. If you're saying you can find out the number of units in a stack by counting white bars beneath the health bar, it sounds like that's the answer I was looking for.

I just came up with a hypothesis regarding what's keeping Vox. If they're about to launch a major attack, they may all want to be there for it so they can decide when to break off if it looks like it's failing, how to follow up if it succeeds, and perhaps decide what to do around Hurricane based on how things go around Arashi (or vice versa). I strongly suspect that we would want to do something along those lines if the situation were reversed.

I agree... everyone would want to be getting a play by play of an attack like that. Probably with a discussion after each unit. This turn has the potential to be the most important one of the game for Vox.

They might also be waiting on a reply from us about the cease fire, or discussing it themselves?

If not, they have to assume it's a non-starter, whether we would like to pursue it or not.

NYE and Jon chatted enough that it became clear to NYE, and very likely to Jon also, that the two sides had no common ground regarding terms on which the conflict could be settled. I don't think there's been any talk between the two teams regarding the possibility of a cease fire since then.

Vox has passed the save on. I sincerely hope that all of the members of GS can behave with diginty for ourselves, and respect for opponents who has played their position and put us in a very difficult situation.

If the report is accurate, it sounds like they split the stack.

My guess is they're parked on the flats next to ....Sandstorm? (from memory) and Arashi. Either that or they sent some guys over to Monsoon, but the "en route to the capitol has me thinking the former). Lookin' forward to seeing the latest!

Sounds about right NYE... though if they are smart they keep their main stack at Arashi 9, which would make it very difficult for us to get to GoW's Horses if they land 1 of Monsoon.

It's also very possible that someone has set up an embassy and fed Vox information about the contents of Arashi. That was one thing I was worried about.
