I like concept albums. So I have two of them on my list.

Operation: Mindcrime- by Queensryche. I love this album
Seventh Son of a Seventh son- By Iron Maiden
Aenima- Tool
Undertow- Tool
Lateralus- Tool
...And Justice for All- Metallica
Master of Puppets- Metallica
Black album- Metallica
Chaos A.D.- Sepultura
Somewhere in Time- Iron Maiden
The Wall- Pink Floyd
Dark Side of the Moon- Pink Floyd
IV- Led Zeppelin
I- Led Zeppelin
Antichrist superstar- Marylin Manson (I'm not a big fan of him, but he got it right with this album. I credit Rezner's influence)
Downward Spiral- NIN
Melloncollie and the Infinite Sadness- Smashing Pumpkins. depressing as hell. I have to be in the right mood to listen to it, but it is brilliant.

I liked it quite a bit, it is quite a bit different than the previous albums. Though, I think the best stuff to come out of the Souljacker era is the Rotten World Blues EP. It is a great album, I actually liked it quite a bit more than "Daisies.." in fact.

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

2pac's Me Against the World...
great stuff right there... 2pac at the height of his skill. Recorded right before and right after being shot 5 times... the lyrics of a doomed man... it starts off with 2pac angrily blazing alliteration... "They say ***** and paper is poetry power and pistols Plottin on murderin mother****ers 'fore they get you Picturin pitiful punk niggaz coppin pleas Puffin weed as I position myself to clock G's"

Nas' Illmatic...
though only 9 songs, it's the most re-playable album I got. impossible to get tired of it. Nas at the top of his game as the street poet... "I'm the young city bandit, hold myself down singlehanded For murder raps, I kick my thoughts alone, get remanded Born alone, die alone, no crew to keep my crown or throne I'm deep by sound alone, caved inside in a thousand miles from home"

AZ's Doe or Die...
also real short but amazingly re-playable. AZ got the best flow in rap.

Mos Def's Black on Both Sides...
I didn't even buy it when it came out but every song I've heard from it is crafted for real... from the production to Mos' rhymes and smooth flow and tendency to talk, it's some hot **** "Spendin time, writin rhymes
Tryin to find words that describe the vibe
That's inside the space
When you close yo' eyes and screw yo' face
Is this the pain of too much tenderness
To make me nod my head in reverence
Should I visit this place and remember it?
To build landmarks here as evidence
Night time, spirit shook my temperment
To write rhymes that portray this sentiment
We live the now for the promise of the infinite"

Mobb Deep's The Infamous
Some nice street ****... might seem filled with too much glorification of 'thug life', but listening to Havoc's eerie production and Prodigy's sickly voice (he got sickle cell) rhyme such lines as, "Keep my eye on it so the **** won't spoil, then I pause, And ask God why, did he put me on the earth, just so I could die, I sit back and build on, all the things I did wrong, why I'm still breathing And all my friends gone..." you realize that this aint no glory ****...

some of the best albums in hip hop right there... i dare anyone to listen to all them and say that rap is not an incredible form of music

thanks

3) Led Zepplin - IV (runes)
4) Elvis Costelo - My Aim is True
5) Uncle Tupelo - Anodyne
6) English Beat - Just Can't Stop It
7) the doors - waiting for the sun; my first LP, and still my fav from Jim et al
8) Brave Combo - Polkatharsis; Grammy!
9) The Replacements - Hootenanny
10) Lloyd Cole - Lloyd Cole (don't look back)

Noted!

One of the earliest and most important ska revivalist groups, Birmingham's the Beat formed in 1978 (the band had to change their name to the English Beat in the U.S. to avoid confusion with Paul Collins' band of the same name). The multiracial band carved a distinct sound through the use of alternating lead vocals by guitarist Dave Wakeling and punk-toaster/rapper Ranking Roger

Cr@p!

There's much better stuff around. For instance has anyone been here?

http://franklarosa.com/vinyl/

You haven't lived until you've heard the dogs' version of "I saw her Standing There" by the Beatle Barkers.

And who could leave "Ken Demko Live at the Lamplighter Inn" off their list - the man's a musical monster.
