I'm thinking some posters are jealous because the president they hate knows how to fly a plane.

Sure he can't land a plane on a carrier. But here's a news flash. He was never in the navy!!. He was in the air national guard. They landed on long ass runways.

Nearly every pilot we have in the U.S. air force also cannot land a plane on an aircraft carrier. Are you saying they are worthless pilots?

Yes that is the impression I got from above posts.

I am merely pointing out that most USAF pilots also cannot land a plane on a carrier.

My unlce flew 500 combat missions in Vietnam and was a CAG. And the scariest thing was landing on the carrietr atnight in bad eather. woser than going ageter haphong hharbor.

He also flew the plane about 1/3 the way. Granted the flight was only 15 minutes, so that's about 5 minutes of flying.

Compare that to Clinton who hasn't the slightest notion how to fly a plane.

Granted flying a plane isn't a qualification for being president. But its nice to know our president actually can do something besides talk.

OK he can't talk very well. In fact he's a terrible public speaker. But he has improved in speaking slightly.

No one can beat Clinton. The best talker there ever was. How he can say those things under oath with a straight face is beyond me. That is a true skill. It depends on what the meaning of is is.

Just imagine Bush in the plane. The plane could have breakdown. Or pilot could think they are in danger and catapult himself, then Bush would have to fly by himself and possibly land. Well incidents do happen.

re q^3 I think accident could count too, so why wait to another election?

im convinced clinton could have gotten away with mass murder of a much maligned ethnic group if he made a 30 minute speech on it.
