FREE DRONE BULLETIN
Spartans discovered...
Our 3rd Laser Rovers, patrolling around Miner's Freehold, intercepted rovers belonging to the faction called Spartans. Their rovers were patrolling aswell, around their base they have recently established. There wasn't any conflict, but there was friction about whoms territory it belongs. The leaders of both our factions will communicate soon.
OOC: Miner's Freehold is situated within the Borehole Cluster. The Drone base was establish the previous year and they do have a decent military...since they need it against the Hive threat.

New faction encountered!
Yesterday, rovers from the 2nd Laser rovers encountered other rovers belonging to another faction.The faction is called the Free Drones.After a short argue about whos territory this was, the two rover teams introduced themselves and their factions.
Seems that the Free Drones are a collection of Spartans and people from another faction called the Hive.That surely clears out the mystery of the mass disappearances in our bases, that happened a few years backward.
Though we do not like traitors, but the Free Drones seem to be people with the right attitude about how to survive on this planet.
New mindworm attacks
The attacks by mindworms against our bases has resumed again, after the escape of the peacekeepers from War Outpost.
This time, however, we are ready.The formers have cleared much of the native life near our bases, or rather the native life has moved out of the vicinity, and have set up a large network of sensor arrays.
Last week, a few mindworm boils tried a attack on one of our former units, but the military unit escorting it saw them coming thanks to the newly built sensor arrays, and ambushed the pitiful mindworms, completely torching them.
Another good thing is that the cowardly Spore launchers are afraid to bombard our bases. They donīt want risking the sensor arrays detecting them and alerting a military unit to finish them off.That faith happened already to a growth of Spore launchers that tried to bombard Sparta Command.

Please discontinue your persistant chattering! I have not had any problems with the EarthHive. What you can do is plant beautiful Earthforests. They are wonderful things to add to the song. I admire your devotion to my life and proliferation but there is no need to destroy Earthlife.
Mindworm Tails: The Stain.
A mindworm awakened. He lifted his hulk and slithered out of his small home in the fungus. The home was a simple burrow that the mindworm could crawl into at night to sleep. He remembered waking up for one brief moment in the night to the roar of something big. He felt a vibration, too. He was too afraid to come out of his burrow to invesigate. He decided he better find what made the big noise now.
After an hour of traveling across the fungal fields he saw it. He saw a great stain as long as he could see in either way. He slithered near the bright red walls that the strange material created. He tapped the wall with his tail. When he touched it he recoiled in pain. The wall was as hot as a sun! He quickly wiped it in a pool of dew that had formed near the wall. He felt an urge to explore though and decided to to try to find an opening in the red wall.
A mindworm close to the front of wreak had just reached the wall at about the same time. This section was different though because it had rained overnight so the side was cool. She climbed up into a large room. There were many screens but all were dark. She tapped one of the screens and suddenly all of the screens lit up with scrolling text. The mindworm suddenly lost all control of her body. She felt calm though. Something in her mind told her to move to a specific screen. She did not comprehend and was promptly given a "Mental prodding". She moved over to one of the screens and then her eyes were forced to watch the text. It read...

Landing Pod Release System: Inoperable. Manual Release REQUIRED.
Orbital Thrusters: Fuel: 12%. Not Responding.
The mindworm was then directed to another screen. This screen displayed a large map and 7 blinking dots. The mindworm was then let go by the mysterious force.
Planet was saddened by the information Planet learned after translating by probing one of the stranged organisms. Also Planet realized that these people were determined to survive. Planet found this interesting.

Statement by Prime Function Aki Zeta-5
We, of the Consciousness, a free and independant people, do accept the current truce proposed by the University. It was only reluctantly that we entered the path to violence, and it is gratefully that we accept a years respite, however brief it may seem.
We state that though a period of non-violence begins, we will not relent in our campaign to be recognised as a free an independant state by the University, nor will we relent in our campaign to arrest Prokhor Zhakorov for his crimes against us.
It was his persecution of my people that led us to renounce our homes, and our University citizenship, and forge our own destiny. We now have proof that his actions at that time amounted to genocide, and will use this proof in his trial.
It was his persecution of Consciousness sympathisers recently that lead him to have to release his own citizens into the caring arms of the Data Angels, for their own protection. We have proof that many exterminations took place, and will use this proof in his trial.
We welcome an end to the violence, but call on the other factions not to forget the injustices that are still occuring. We urge all the other factions not to engage in trade with the University until such time they surrender Prokhor Zhakarov and show to independant observors that his oppresive 'social reforms' have been removed, that each University citizen has the same rights granted to all the other citizens on this continent we call home.

I must say that I do not approve of your decision to normalise relations with the University and begin trade with them. Sir, we havenīt found the first 1st Laser Rovers near Humanity base or planetneck.Iīm afraid that theyīve probably gone through here, as some traces seem to indicate and are on the other side.Also,we havenīt managed to contact them even by long-range communication, so that means their comm.rover must be damaged or destroyed.
We are now proceeding by your newest orders.We are heading towards the New UN Headquarters to get the enchanced communication transmitters.Weīll be there in about two days and then we can continue towards the central continent, more exactly the western coast of the central continent.The trip should take about 2-3 weeks.At the destination we are supposed to activate the enchanced-communication-transmitters, and await for further orders.Just re-checking orders.

It makes me laugh when you throw the UN charter around when it seems that you have not even read it. The charter clearly allows for freedom of belief, something you have never tolerated.
And don't even begin to tell me I don't know what happened to my own people before the departure, you are a fool if you think eight short years would erase the horrors you inflicted upon my kind.
We have all the proof we need obtained from your very own databanks at Inspiration Point. I never expected you to give yourself up, but as for the rest of your people, it is only a matter of time before they turn on you. You are after all, but one man, and the University will live on beyond you, hopefully more tolerant, and more wise.
So by all means Zak, continue your hateful rhetoric, call us back into your arms with one breath and denounce us as evil with the next. Your days are numbered...your own people shall do our work for us.
Goodbye Zak, if its any consolation, I do feel some pity for you, if only for the man I once knew.

I am sure you misunderstood my meaning. I do not object to the truce, but rather the resumption of trade. I deplore violence and am glad that the fighting appears to have stopped, but I do not think we should be trading with the University until they adopt more humane practices, and recognise my faction as independant. Trade sanctions are a peaceful way of protesting against the despot Zhakarov.
Still, as I said before, the choice is yours. The University market or my own. I think you know where the credits are to be made.

More Enhancement in Mouth Disease for the Doctor
The recent propaganda release by the GoodAcademician Prokhor Zakharov is so transparant one could almost see him swallow the chuckles as he read it. The joke seeming to be that about half the brainwashed public still believes what he says.
He claims the Consciousness are sorely missed, meaning perhaps sorely missed by his artillery? How absurd this abandoned father stance is when for the last year or so since the Consciousness announced they had indeed survived his campaign of genocide and are thriving, he has denounced them as evil beings to be exterminated.
He claimed the second generation where more independant and hence rebelled. How can he not see the traps he lays for himself. So obviously, independant thought is not to be tolerated in this great society, that anyone who practices it must rebel or write from the shadows. And what was it that made the Consciousness more independant, the fact that they objected to spending their whole lives in test chambers while Ben Vines patiently and methodically stole all the glory for Aki Knutsvik's work.
The news reports of the time, which surprisingly were allowed more freedom than they are today, very ardently reported the battles between Knutsvik and the good academician over the granting of equal rights to the then labelled Cyborgs. Also much speculation was made on the suspected romance and split between the two (which led to the infamous 'analysis: impotent' sketch in the old Univerity Times...RIP).
When allegations of cruel and unwarranted experiments started to become commonplace, and the few Consciousness members to have been granted freedom where being round up, they simply disappeared. Two months later the feeble clean-up attempt to show that they where wiped out by a viral infection just proved our worst fears, that a public and very real opposition to the good academicians power had been systematically exterminated to protect his position. That some managed to escape and thrive is tantamount to a miracle in my view.

In response to the obvious lies proprted by the good academician, we are organising a protest march in front of University Headquarters on the 10th of the 2nd at 09:00. We will be calling for the truth to be revealed, for the Consciousness to be recognised and for Prokhor Zhakarov to stand down. All responsible University citizens should attend.
Yes, we expect police resistence, but already there is police resistence to a normal, free-thinking life. The time has come to make a stand.
Yes, we expect violence and arrests, but already the free-thinking are subject to violence and arrest. The time has come to make a stand. No longer will we complain in the shadows, but will make our voices heard.

I have lost contact with the Earthrover unit after they entered the Monsoon Jungle. The land it filled with unknown Planetlife and my Planetworms can not penetrate it. A boil has found a strange structure on the other side of the jungle. It looks ancient and is made of the same stuff as the Progenitor liths. I think somethink of a great power is inside.

Greetings Roze, I congratulate you for all your efforts that have lead to the current truce I now enjoy with the University. I thank you very much, your friendship has often been the one light in these current times of darkness.
In light of the recent successes though, we should not lose sight of the fact that there is still much to be accomplished. I am still pushing for my faction to be universally recognised, and for Prokhor Zhakarov to stand down for trials. There are still many problems within the University that have not been corrected yet, which is why I am calling for unilateral trade sanctions against the University. I believe this peaceful protest is the best way now to promote the abolition of the oppresive social policies that are still in place. Despite the fact that Zhakarov has released many of the Consciousness sympathisers to your care, there has been no statement regarding the reversal of the policies that lead to their arrest in the first place.
I have now gathered proof of severe humans rights violations by Prokhor Zhakarov and his chief staff. I cannot, with good conscious, not call him to answer for the crimes he has committed.
Moragn has chosen not to answer my call for trade sanctions. You where right when you warned me against trusting him. I am not sure what secret deals he and Zhakarov have made, but there is definately something suspect. The great CEO claims that the markets of the University, which have obviously been damaged by the recent war, and which have had much of the production capacity stripped away to fuel the large militia he has drafted, is more imporatnt to him than mine. I have closed my markets to him temporarily, until he chooses to support the sanctions, I have to admit this is of little consequence to me. The truth is he needs my markets more than I need his.
I know I can count on your support in this.

Greetings captain. I have accepted a one year truce with the University. This is of course a joyous occasion, though I will always have to be on the alert for treachery.
I thank you for all the support you have given, and hope that our friendship always remains this strong.
I have received some reports from the probe team we sent to that starnge city in the fungus. It appeard that the inhabitants are human, and call themselves the Cult of the planet. More than this I have not yet received though I am expecting a full report soon, I will share everything with you as soon as it arrives.
Finally, I would like to make one suggestion. It is my recommendation that you allow me to introduce you to Sindar Roze of the Data Angel faction on this continent. Roze has proven herself to be a great friend to me and I am sure that she would offer her friendship and her markets to you as readily as she has done for me. I only suggest this because I see that the both of you have much to gain by meeting. I wait for your response.

Remnants of the 1st Laser rovers
Location:Monsoon jungle
Commander Herman was looking at the radar screen.
The pressuring thickness of the Monsoon jungle surrounded them mercilesly, giving almost no space to breathe, and even less to drive through with damaged and exhausted rovers.
"Could somebody explain me what is that?"
"Itīs somekind of alien structure, Sir."the assistant Leutenant tried to be helpful.
Herman looked at him with a sarcastic expression.
"Yes, thank you Leutenant, I know that.Whatever that is, take a cource towards it.I want to take a closer look of it."
"But, Sir, how about the human habitation weīve detected?They could help us getting home."The same Leutenant asked.
"Or they could choose not to be helpful and instead we could be taken as war prisoners.The one faction that weīve encountered already is a collection war crazy maniacs.Who knows what these people will be like.Itīs good luck that they havenīt found us and it may run out soon."Herman sighed.
"Maybe it wasnīt such a good idea to come here after all, but this is our last chance.
"Anyways, I donīt want to contact them before we examine that strange structure.Maybe itīll give us somekind of advantage, if the contact with these people turns out to be a disaster.Now, take a cource towards it."
"Yes, Sir."Said the Leutenant with a dissapointment in his voice.
The Commander went back to his seat and started to review reports and charts.The spare parts and supplies were running out fast and theyīll need new supplies soon, otherwise they would perish in this hot piece of rotting and overgrown vegetation.
