Well Mr. all-knowing illustrious veterans
1) time does not equate to effort. You could have been here since 1999 and done nothing but spam and that makes you a heckuva less important in my book than someone who has been in less than a year but contributed immensely to the community (and I'm not talking just about Trip). That you apparently see the join date and judge peoply by it just goes to show your own elitism, which is truly pathetic since this is merely a web site not something to really be proud of of being a deity or a veteran. Whoopie, hooray, I'm the most popular guy in a web forum! 
2) You just said many of those people participated in the Civ2 community. What makes sole participation in either Civ2 or Civ3 any better? You just shot yourself in the foot with that argument. Why demand Civ3ers participate in all communities to deserve fame status whereas you only hang out in the Civ2 and OT sections? Just proves that this is really just an OT popularity contest... oh well.
3) 6000 posts... so, considering the level of spamming done by many other people in the HOF, many of them deities themselves, I find this a poor shot at saving face. Are you going to judge me too by my post-count per day too? Have you even read my posts?
so, to end, you are right, Civilization isn't just Civ3. AND IT ISN'T JUST CIV2 OR OTF EITHER.
Anyway, with that i leave the scene. One more reason to stay away from the OTF and enjoy my demogames. May the best man win.

No way, newbie. 1. He has been since August 2002. 2. He has only participated in the Civ III community. 3. Well, he sure has contributed plenty of ham in tins with over 6000 posts in about 10 months.

Yet another stupid statement, newbie. If you claim many OTF members like e.g. Fez, Stefu, CyberGnu, Zylka, EvC, Eli, Sprayber, and Tiamat (pathetic of you not to credit her) have contributed nothing and that they only posts "stupid spam", by all means you can go and hump yourself, plus ask yourself a 100% PCR for all your Civ III DG spam, which is totally worthless to many great and good OTF threads.

EDIT: for the record I haven't insulted anyone, and in fact I never intended to offend an entire community. In my first post I said "many people" and noted that there are very thoughtful people in every community. I am just simply noting a bias in the voting for a certain part of this community.
