Dmad_aen, we are wondering why the game was so very slow, and then you detect that you had running a upload/download program in background when I detected that your ping was 1390 !
Please to all, secure that next game NOTHING is running in backgrond. It will slow ALL other also. SO a game makes no fun.

I had up/download of 16 kbit/sec only, then all dropped.
But if I detect that a player who has just 4 hops to me and DSL and his uplink has 43 ms, but he had 1390 ms, then I do know all.
And the problem is, that such an activity in background of one player will slow ALL other as well, independent what machine he has and how his connection is. The point is, how fast the host can actualise *all* systems. If one is slow, then ALL are slow.
Next game I'll check the tracert + Ping of all players before I host, as we always had done in history when we start an IP.

thats why i always shut down icq and everything but msn so with cable i'm running at something like 99% efficiency
You guys manage to get the game started again ?
How'd the AI do with my faction? ... the answers obvious really i know, it built 10 synthmetal troops per base and just sat there declaring war on everyone
