I remember Midshipman posting about going to the navy for a good couple of years. It was right in the middle of a game in the Diplomacy and Stories forum.

I still see Ecthelion on ICQ once in a while.
Last time we talked was almost a year ago when he was disappointed both from this forum and me, and said we don't get him and don't respect him.

and Bob Dornan (history049) was also hooked up on ICQ for a while after he left here, but I think his parents made him do homework or something

I also used to see Comrade Dan online for a while.

Speaking of famous old timers, it's been at least half a year since the last time I heard from YYYH.

Natan decided the forums were too much for him and we continued having interesting ICQ talks, but he refused even to watch threads, so that not be sucked up again. He hasn't been online for a while now.

I'm not sure where did KH/Frogger go to, but it was recently (last 4 months).

Does anyone remember a good old timer called Spartan187? I found him on ICQ once, shortly after I joined The Frontier, but it has died out since.

I still see WarVoid on ICQ but I haven't talked to him in at least a year.

Yeah, RON + GalCiv should bring in many more n00bs, a couple (at least!) to stick, and if we're lucky one of the dinosaurs in this thread we've been talking about will come back.
