HGF, I'm nut sure about that it is quite costly to produce knights and we haven't got enough horses to simply upgrade, but I agree that it is impotant. I would however rather keep the gold for rushes of barracks and walls and pikes.

How shall we get chivalry then!? GoW is hesitating (we wonder why) We cant afford to buy it from anyone and besides if we could noone seems willing to sell it to us.
I think we should save A LOT of cash, build a couple of horsemen in the meantime then STEAL it from ND!
Then immediately upgrade our horsemen. How much would such a covert ops cost?
