Evil Knevil, are you serious? There are tons of famous fat people. Besides, if someone doesn't want to marry me because I carry some extra pounds, then it's not on very strong base, is it?

I must add, that I have one buddy who is quite fat. Not very fat, but let's say 30-40 pounds too much. And I'm telling you he pulls hot chicks all the time. I don't know how he does it, but they love his gut because it's soft, and that he has the best hug in the world because he's like gentle bear.

Besides, I like hot women like everyone else. At midsummers party, there was this girl who I have known for few years, but never really got to know her. She's super hot and I always dreamed about her, but when she opened her mouth and we talked.. oh man.. she's just horrible. And I've known several bigger girls that I'd date with pleasure. So.. people who are that shallow, then I'm not even interested. Of course, hot chick with nice thoughts of her own and chemistry... bada bing!
Bigger girls are better to wrestle, because they have more power and are more heavy, and they don't hurt themselves when I make a body suplex in the backyard.

I lost my clue what I'm talking about here, or what the thread was about, all I'm saying being fat is not a crime. Only bad thing about it is health problems. There are so many people out there who make fat peoples lives miserable with their judgements. I want to wrestle these people too. First round KO!

Large feet? You mean the guy? Not really. Not unusually.
He's a former athlete, so he's quite strong, but he has his stomach sticking out quite much, but it seems to work for him. He has troubles making the first move, since some girls usually avoid him because he is not so cut, but once he gets some conversation going on, it's only a matter of time when they fall in love with him. He's a big personality and there's a big warmness glowing from him.

edit: He's a funny case actually. As I said he's a former athlete and you can see that he has worked out a lot, but not in recent years. So he started working out again and started losing that gut, but then he stopped and he said that he couldn't pull women anymore and had to get that gut back .

Besides, most fat people can lose the extra if they really want to and use the right methods (traditional, not magic pills). But shallow and stupid people can't stop being shadow and stupid. So who is the loser?

I wonder where the line between "normal weight" and "overweight" is drawn in the study. I've heard of people who have been determined overweight by a doctor, only because they weigh too much if compared to their height, i.e. the natural build or the muscularity of the person is completely ignored. Body fat percentage would be a more accurate measurement of obesity than the silly Body Mass Index.

You guys do realize that to be obese, medically speaking, is to be 20% above your ideal body weight, don't you?

For Example:

Somebody that for their height and bone structure should be 180 lbs. If they weigh 216 lbs. they are considered obese.

Even though they don't look extremely fat, they are, in fact obese.

for me it's a matter of personal preference.

I don't get any more women now than when I weighed 33 pounds more.

but I it feels so good to be agile again, and feel like I did when I was in high school. Because I was thin in high school, and it feels good to get that feeling back.

So it has nothing to do with shallow people. Being fat just isn't healthy.

Well, I can't find the report on the IOTF web site (it was painfully slow and non-intuitive so I've might have missed it), but at least I found this table from last November: http://www.iotf.org/media/obesitytable.htm

According to it, people are considered overweight if their BMI is over 25.

Ah, thanks for the info.

So, my bodybuilder schoolmate is overtly obese then? Like I said, the BMI is ridiculous. Also, mine is 25.8 (was 32.7 a year ago) which would mean that I am only a bit overweight, but I definitely need to get lower than what my 25 weight would be.

BMI is a stupid measurement.

me = 200cm and 92kg

According to the "normal" figures my BMI for most of my adult life has been barely above that of a starving african refugee. Stupid measurement.

Scots are the worst binge drinkers in the world, apparently. Something to do with our lack of anything to do, along with an incrediably suicidal male culture.

Average male night out= 8 pints, 3-4 whiskys and a couple of randoms (vodka, JD.....)

We dont have much to do either. Its just that we prefer todrink that shaken cold coffee? (frape') for hours at cefeterias instead of drinking alcohol. although for a period of time we were actually the largest consumer of scotsch whiskey per head in europe.
