Neither the Israelis or Palestinians have behaved that admirably in the ongoing situation in the Middle East; but at least both sides are now trying to resolve the situation peacefully and move on...

Let's keep the political views for the OT forum.

That above remark wasn't my political view on the situation in Israel panag. It was my attempt to try and defuse what I saw as an ugly situation developing that would ruin the spirit of the game. I made a general statement, favouring neither side, as an attempt at closure.

I'm sorry if you didn't appreciate it.

Well, you need at least TWO people to create a party, otherwise everyone will just vote for themselves and we'll have gotten nowhere. yaroslav and I decided to form a party called the Centre Party. Remember to make a thread about your party when we get the sub forum and to post your party's political alignment and stance on various topics.

Have you never heard of Operation Magic Carpet and the others like it? These were operations by Israel to take in all the Jews kicked out of many oppressive countries to them such as the Arab countries, and one of those countries was Ethiopia.

The Likud party is Ariel Sharon's party currently but it is not radical and will negotiate with the Arabs even it does not believe that land for peace can work. Menachem Begin had a more radical party called Herut (which means freedom) which was a more radical right wing party. He eventually joined the Likud and negotiated the peace treaty with Egypt that returned the Sinai peninsula to the Egyptians, so I dont know what to tell you. But I'll look up the parties and find something that works along the lines of "All Fascist Pigs MUST die!" as you wrotei n yoru signature.

Here's a good party for you conmcb25. The National Union party is a right wing party that opposes the formation of a separate Palestinian state. It sees the only option for peace is the transfer of the Palestinians to the Arab states per the population exchange of the 1950s. They are quite right wing and would suit you, though they are probably a bit too left wing for what you seem to align yourself with.

Also, I wish to remind everyone that you cannot be a member of the knesset AND be in the IDF at the same time. If you have your heart set on being in the IDF, then join a party and make sure you are one of the bottom members of that party's list of candidates to enter the knesset or do not join a party. Remember that the top person on your list is the candidate for prime minister and that the precentage of votes yo uget when the elections finally come around is the number of seats your party gets in the knesset. Coalitions will probably have to be made but we can talk about this once the elections come around. Please do not forget that you need at least TWO people in order to form a party, so before you declare a party formed, make sure it has at least two members and mention who they are so that we don't get people joining more than one party accidentally..
