I used to work for a tourist cruise ship where they would cut out the meat of the pineapple but leave the core. They would then blend the meat with ice, coconut-flavored slush vodka and rum (i think). Give it a nice pinkish-white color and there you go.

I tried it and it tasted kick a**

(BTW, pineapples have a ph-ranking of 3.5..........lemon's are a little more acidic)

Also great drink:

Slice a banana, like banana split, but not completely. Leave the 'skin'. Then put chocolate in and heat it up.
Then it the thing and drink hard liqour at the same time. I'm telling you it's good.

Pine"apple" (<--I get it) Juice + Orange Juice = Good Juice

Pineapple juice +OJ+Tequila+grenadie = Really Good Juice

The best pineapples are the Maui Golds... I ate a whole one last August and had the runs for days! Yet, I would do it all over agin....

Still, a pineapple doesn't beat a banana! Yet that's a berry!

Sorry folks, but as for my previous proouncement, I misunderstood a basic fact:

Now, pineapples are classified as a low acidic food, but their pH is porbably under 7.

Human pH: 7.45 (slightly basic)
Stomach Acid: around 1-4
Small Intestine: around 8

The injectible (parental) drugs are generally around 6.

So it makes sense that a pH of 4.6 is considered weak.

I am no biologist, but I assume the Alkalinizing effect is do to the increase in pH of the stomach acid. However, it does seem odd that they would call it a low-acid food with alkalinizing effects.
