actually this is a downright lie... there is plenty of knowledge of the following kingdoms/states... Mali, Songai, Benin, Mossi, Dahomey, Ashanti, Zanj, Kongo, Ethiopia, Zulu, Xhosha, Mombasa, Malindi, etc. and they weren't any better than any civilization anywhere else in the world.
