Not really. As both Ix and Potassium seem to have really acquired the forum culture, proposing on the forum isn't that surprising. Besides, that forum is the place where they met each other for the first time, and where there love grew.

What alva said. You're never too young to screw up the rest of your life. If the two of you are careful and smart about this, you may beat the odds and grow to old age together. Too many young-adult marriages end in divorce because the lovers blindly rushed into it.

Thanks for all the well wishes, everyone.

I was originally going to propose when I returned to SD in a couple weeks for the SD Comic Convention. Since I got that out of the way, when I'm down there we're going to pick out rings and get everything sorted out. That's also when I'm going to let my parents know about all of this.

And we're trying not to rush into this; we're waiting until I graduate from college at the very least to actually get married, which will be about 2 years from now.

Even though you said in the original post that you're now engaged, I was kind of excited when I read the other forum 'say yes, say yes!'.. And she did.

Some generations say to their grandchildren 'I met your mom at WWII in France/Belgium/just before I was shipped/etc etc'. Times have changed. Post pics! Though I remember vaguely seeing some pictures of you and her in some apartment and she was pretty, so
I hope your love will outlast hardships of life and that you have a happy life together.
