ADSL is your own private line so if you're seeing activity it's a sign of a potential problem. A cable modem is a shared line (in effect) so you can see activity if anyone else is using that line.

An interesting thing - sa.microsoft.com , where sa stands for search assistant. My WinXP connects there anytime I open the search window...

I don't like ZoneAlarm personally... I use the Sygate Personal Firewall Pro. Also DLL authorization, more info, and such stuff... and a less designed-for-even-the-most-clueless-user interface.

That seems to be mostly harmless, so far it's unlikely that any malware has hijacked it.
