One strange thing. When I first looked at the turn and declined Alva's accidental peace offer nothing happened with my cities. When I actually played the turn I sent the offer back, without accepting it. Several of my cities went into WLTKD!

Alva - would you offer peace again next turn please? My citizens like it.

Well, you have taken one of the easy targets (17 Immortals against 3 pikes was a bit of a mismatch). The real struggle is yet to begin. My, you do have quite a lot of cavalry though.

Would you guys be interested in starting a C3C game with just the four of us? We're all fast players and good sports so I think it'll be another good game. I'm open to suggestions for the format. Everything random?

I would like to try a full C3C PBEM game so, yes, I'm interested.

I was hoping for isolated islands surrounded by easily defendable mountains.
Actually, we should decide the land mass size and ratio before we start so we can choose appropriate civilisations. I'd hate to choose an expansionist civ and wind up on that isolated island..

Alva - I don't know about the RNG favouring attackers, it certainly favours Persians!

I also really, really wish I had built a fortress on that iron mountain a long time ago.



I suggested a pangaea map as it means no-one is likely to get too far ahead without the others being able to do something about it. It also means that luxuries, including ivory, are likely to be scattered widely.

Really? I took what I could get over there over there, that's all I could haul (I don't have many boats ). I figured the games pretty much over and every turn I wait is another round of Calvary you can crank out to stockpile your continent.

You still have 3 galley's on the other side.

The trouble with them riders is their range, so I needed to take them out in one go. I had about 6 units that were withing reach but lost my first 2 battles (one cav and one immortal). There is still one left though.

I have a grand total of 2 catapults. They are in Edrine (there's a clue for you ) and I was worried that if I moved them onto the mountain you would attack the city.

I have the turn but am too drunk to play right now.
