A nod to what I consider to be the most perfectly crafted American film ever. Oh, I'll be more charitable towards other films in later rounds, but for now I want to give my favorite movie a big .

Well, Chinatown now has 17 points which definitely places it in the top 10 currently (probably the top 3). With my 10 points, we can expect enough Apolytoners to have the taste and discretion to move this most-worthy movie into the next round.

I thought the rule was you had to split your vote to three movies. I people are voting for more than three I don't see why people can't just vote for one.

Nope, there doesn´t seem to be a rule that you have to vote for just three movies.

And why they vote for more than three?
Maybee because it is hard to decide, as there are a lot of really good Movies around

Maybe it would make more sense if you had 4, 3, 2 and 1 Points and now could decide, which Movie gets the 4 points, which the three and so on.
Would make the Tactics of Giving just one Film the full 10 points much harder
(of course in this case you should also exclude that one can vote more than once for the movie, so that noone can give 4 Points to Movie A, 3 Points to Movie A, 2 Points to Movie A and finally 1 Point to Movie A )
