Dom makes a good point. What he is suggesting is: once we get hem on the ropes, rather than dealing the knockout blow (and with that blow we know any cash in the treasury would go elsewhere), we ask them if if they would like to hand over their wallet first, in some implied exchange for survival. Then we do them in.

Not quite the 110% honourable thing to do, but makes sense to me. We may get some cash, research, workers, or intact cities.

It's not even close to the honorable thing to do. If we are at all concerned about our reputation, then we should not consider this.

I agree. I'd rather not see the Apolyton team labeled as a bunch of dirty players. Besides trying to win this game, we're also upholding Apolyton's good name. I know Dom was just saying that it doesn't hurt to make the offer, but I would just as soon sweep GCA off the continent cleanly and completely.

Fiercely disagreed with the idea of having GCA hand over whatever they'd have left "in exchange for their implied survival" and then finishing them off anyway. Should we ever do anything like that, I would quit from this team in a second.
