I never did anything like that, it was my spamming of the same moves, but they could do the same and id still own them.

then ur what we call in fighting game community as....
#x move whores. (replace x with number of different moves u use in the whole game).
Whoring moves have flaws to the strategy, because they keep the gameplay overly simple. Usually move whorers try to do no more than 3-4 moves that handles every single situation. (and in fighting game it will need to cover at least: when opponent blocks high, low and quick attack to counter hit or stepping if the game is in 3D) If the game is balanced enough, there are loop holes in this kind of strategy, because game will be complictaed enough to accomodate solutions to virtually every single situation and well trained players will be aware of it.
