I was without employment or classes for 14 months, though i was activelly looking for work for 8 of them. Now I have a job that pays crap, with at least 60 hours a week, but it is work, and I get to learn about politics...and visit the places of power in NYC, which are very unimpressive, but then this city has a bigger budget than most states.

Whether an institution is democratic or not that is not the point -- the point is, to what extent should an institution hold itself consistently with its own policy?

Well within the science sector, the government are perpetuating a very nasty lie. They claim they need more people there, that there is an employee shortage. This is a lie though. In my experience it has been very hard for science graduates to find jobs...

We in the US only count those looking for work as unemployed. Those that have given up aren't. I wonder what the true unemployment rate in the US is?
