The ones I have at the moment are the Sarah Jane ones, The Dalek Empire ones, The tomorrow people ones and some of their interview tapes. I've also listened to a few of the Dr Who ones a friend has (as well as a couple of the Prof & Dorothy audio adventure)
You're right that they're expensive - I bought most of the ones I had cause they were on sale at the time.
The acting quality was good, and the stories are fairly good (not top notch, but enjoyable). I've heard that some are vey good, while others are mediocre (and I've been told that the actress who plays Mel does a really good job compared with her televised acting).

They're expensive - about the cost of a video release, so I would suggest collecting the video releases first, and then if you want more Who, try the audios.
