Where do you stand? (Time out:0 days after 06-10-2003, 17:26)
Bush can never do wrong -- he's a demigod.
Bush is a human being who has his own self-interests.
I don't care about this, so I just voted bannana.

Are you honest enough to ask the opposite question or are you like so many others who see all issues from the initial standpoint that Bush is automatically on the wrong side of the issue. A person is just as closed minded if they they demonize a person as they are if they worship them.

What I find amusing is that the "liberals" continue to bash Bush and Republicans for being probusiness at the expense of being anti people.

Then they turn around and attack free trade agreements which assist lessor economies and boost ours by saying Republicans are anti business.

Are Republicans anti business or pro business? Make up your mind.

I don't consider myself a BushOphile simply because I agree with a lot of his agenda. I don't follow any mortal blindly. But then I also don't hate any political leader blindly. Clinton has some good qualities, I just feel his bad qualities far outnumber and outweighed his good ones.

I'm not anti-Bush or pro-Bush, wait, scratch that. I will vote for Bush again only because all the Dems are throwing up for a replacement are a bunch of moronic, psycho, blowhards...

I am not disappointed with Bush, lets just put it that way.

Are Republicans anti-buisness? I have never heard nor seen anything to suggest this. Yet, the republicans are more pro-their own buisness and anti-other busisness'... as good buisnesses should be. They just use the government to benefit their cause a lot more explotatively than the Dems have ever been able to, and this makes the Dems mad.

The Dems just need more practice. Not their fault they hardly get elected into the White House that much.

Then again, looking at the candidates. Maybe it is.

the reason why i'm not voting for bush has nothing to do with how he handled everything else. i don't know exactly what anybody else would have done.

no, the issue that broke any chance of support for him from me was his asstastic handling of the nkorea situation. not that i can think of anybody else doing a better bang up job...

BS. Both Kerry and Gephardt would make an ass pony out of Bush in a one to one debate, and have both articulated specific policies to remedy Bush's myriad of screw-ups. Unlike Dean, who's a whiner.

Now, with Clark entering, Bush is in deep ****, and he's already polling poorly against Kerry and Clark.

As far as Bush goes, three aspects make me real leery of his policies - The penchant for secrecy that makes Nixon look like a choir boy by comparison

- His distaste for the complexities of issues. He prefers straightforward, simplistic answers to complex problems.

- If not lying, then at the very least a tendency for misrepresentation and misnomers in justifying policy initiatives. Clear Skies? Healthy Forests? Compared to what??

The left wing thinks Bush is the devil and never does one good thing.

The right wing thinks Bush does no evil, and supports him 100%.

I think Bush is not an evil person. He is a very religous person. I think he trys to do what he sees as the right thing to do. You may dissagree with his policies, and he of course he makes misstakes like anyone else does. But I dont think people have to start attacking Bush himself. I think the attacks on Bush are because many truely hate him, as many hated Clinton.

Clark would be a good candidate, but I suspect his sanity... I think he will crack before the primaries. What with his quick ruses and Star Trek fettish. We'll find him up a flag pole on the DC mall yelling at the sky to give him back his quarter! by the end of the year...

not only no, but **** no

My hatred of Bush has grown in the past year. I actually liked him after 9/11.

His administration has proven to be increasingly corrupt, vile, and just full of hatred towards anyone who opposes them.

I'm no Dean supporter either. I sure wish the democratic party can be strong again. Not these liberal pansies they have running around the democratic party now.

There have been other threads, where I have argued against those who SERIOUSLY tried to lump all conservatives as evil incarnate.

ANYWAY, is the Central American Free Trade Agreement still being proposed or voted on?

And with our current recession/depression, is exporting more jobs to other countries the way out of our current economic downturn?

There are a least two Democratic candidates I would have voted for except for their actions.

1) I always respected Lieberman, I really agreed with his stance on a lot of issues. However shortly after he accepted the VP bid last time around he sold out on all his ideals and positions. I just can't support someone who can't be true their own ideals.

2) Clark. I didn't like him completely as I felt he was somewhat of a Prima Donna, but the fact that he made his decision to run just to "get even" with the Bush administration leaves a bad taste in my mouth. That kind of hothead jumping up and taking actions on perceived personal insults isn't someone I want in the White House. With Clark we would have already nuked N Korea, France, Germany, and Russia by now.

I'm sure there are some Democrats out there that would make good Presidents but I can't think of any.

Have a good respect for Jimmy Carter, he's got a good heart and high integrity even though he had a crappy administration that made him look like an idiot.

Bush isn't my dream President, I think I would prefer Powell over Bush.

I too like Powell. Too bad the US won't elect a black President anytime soon. Maybe in the Dem. party he would have had a chance to become Pres. candidate. while the Rep. hardcore wouldn't ever allow him to run. But then, I'm not an expert on US internal issues.
