Just kidding, but you have to consider that it is also fun to play different styles of game. If you only play one faction, in one way, you are missing out on SMAC/X's huge potential (IMO).

Yes, Trimetheus, that is true. Played my first time as hive 2 nights ago and quit. I'm too economic based, and use probe teams to much. I also love tech. So as you can see, I would die being the Hive with -2 economy, and of course, I wouldn't do a free market because then I'd just have 0 economy, which still makes my economy suck.
