That was atrocious. Nevermind Trot hitting the 2-run homer off of White. Our bullpen sucks. Meanwhile, the Yankee hitters continue to make Boston's bullpen look good (which it isn't, really).

To think I took the afternoon off of work to watch that piece of **** game.

At least I'm not a Cubs fan.

I saw it at about 6.20am this morning (on tape). They were showing the Cubs/Marlins game over here, but just as the programme started they went straight over to catch the end of the ALCS game live. Trot hit that homer about 5 seconds later. So there I was, at some god-awful time of the morning, sitting in the lounge in my dressing gown with a cup of tea then suddenly jumping around like a maniac and cheering, yelling things like "Oh my God" and "Way to go Trot". I suspect the neighbours now have a rather strange view of me.

I am in the awkward position of rooting for the WS nobody wants to see: Yanks-Marlins. I wish the Cubs had won.

The Yankees must not lose tonight. It's just not right. It should not happen. It's in violation of the way of the universe. Losing to the Angels in '02 was annoying, but acceptable. Crazy things happen. But losing to the Red Sox is simply beyond the Pale.

But, if the unthinkable should occur, clearly I would then have to root for the Red Sox over the Marlins. If for no other reason than to appease my girlfriend, Sox fan that she is. Man, that would be weird

After the Sox batted in the 7th they were up 4-1, and Todd Walker had batted in the inning. Why on Earth was Walker not pulled for defense? If he blows a play to cost the game like Buckner in '86, it's absolutely Little's fault.
