Considering I have a 56k dial-up, I think having about 2000 tracks (combined time about 150 hours) isn't bad

And what's wrong with Matchbox 20? Sure it's hardly hardcore rock, but then much of what is is so hard that it's like a macho contest for who likes it. I'd give far more credit to someone with diverse taste who isn't afraid to like a band that is not 'cool' than to someone who tries to make themselves like anything that is 'proper music', that is hard enough not to be commercial. Just because it's commercial doesn't make it bad, or good.

There's nothing wrong with Matchbox Twenty, but they fit into the same wuss rock category as Bon Jovi. Hard to make fun of one while worshipping the other.

Bon Jovi is a talentless **** who is quite ugly but thinks he's the man.

Compare "It's My Life" to "Bright Lights" and it's obvious which one writes poppy meaningless crap and who can write damn good music.

Not to mention Bon Jovi is an egomaniac *******.

And I personally don't think they're in the same genre. They're both mainstream rock but Bon Jovi is more superficial and bland.

Rob Thomas ran away from an abusive family and was homeless for two years, the entire Yourself Or Someone Like You album was written during this time, and recorded over a period of two days since that's all they could afford to rent out. It went on to sell 20M copies, without ever hitting #1, but it never left the charts for four years (a record).

I share my computer with my wife - some of that is her music since we use a shared folder to store most of it.

Agreed that most current music is crap. Either they can't play or they lack some other appealing feature to make up for it.

I ripped it myself and used FetchArt which goes and gets the art for you. You need to specify song, artist and album and that's it.

All mine now have artwork.

that's one of my most favourite songs on my favourite album

I'm definately not going to get the album art for my 1600 songs or so!

But I did fix most of my tags. At least with regards to having the correct artist and song title, and album title if I know what album the song is from. I also put genres on all my tags so I can seperate my blues and jazz from all the rest of my music so if I'm in that mood I can easily find that music.
