  1. ( nick666, 07-10-2003) This is an excellent Ancient World scenario which plays quite well, but it does have its quirks. Like the original SPQR the intention is to have each Government ( ie Dynastic Kingdom, City State, etc ) have its own troop mix all of which are interesdting and well defined. However after the first turn, all the "dynastys" revert to City States, so you don't get to see all the different units. Easy to fix though and when you have its very enjoyable. The Tech Tree is better than the original, but it still fizzles out too early. This is, as its developer states, mainly a 'war game' scenario. Diplomod is recommended, but I can't get that to work. The New Diplomod from Peter Triggs work well with it though ! Lots of innovation in the units, Hannibal literally carries his elephants across the Alps ! Well worth playing & persisting with. Its so easy to change it around as well. If you like the Roman World, get stuck in.
