hmm I've edited sensitive info out of course, but the gist of it all is in there. Post as much severe advice as possible, I know it needs improvement.

but including skills gained, honors, awards, extra things you did and the like can all be good

not always

on your actual cv include your references (And make them pertinant)

I doubt if they care about the travel, and only about the sports if you were on a team or a team leader or something

being on the committee was good

I have to admit to not being to knowledgeable about economics skills

but incuding what skills you have would be good

remember, the people looking to employ are not to have likely went through the school system, and so will not have a good handle on what it includes

as it is, all they can look at is your previous work expereince and your grades

for example, if I used a STM (scanning tunneling Microscope) in one of my classes

I wuold include it, because by looking at my class (or test passed) the employer would not know that I had used one before and knew how to use one

on the other hand, saying that I know how to use Newton's Laws would be stupid

I would drop the high school part. The work descriptions need to be beefed up. You need to specify the specific skills you got from those positions. Did you make presentations? Were you good at customer interactions? You might even want to put a specific skills section (including any computer skills you might have).

As someone who has combed through hundreds of resumes to hire just a few, I would say that at this point in his life, no one really cares where he went to high school. His Bsc (did he do a thesis? that would be important to point out) and his work experience are the things I would be most interested in.

I would bag the individual grades in High School... and just list your grade point average...

I would also get rid of the individual grades for College as well... and just state your areas of studies and overall GPA.

As far as your work experience.... make it bigger and more important. List more accomplishments or ways you helped the company vs just listing what you did.

You have a lot of current work experience, and that's FAR MORE important than your schooling. Everybody going for the jobs you are has gone and completed college... what you bring to the table is a person who has done REAL work already.

If you were involved in any other activies associated with your schooling... list them.

Just some advice from somebody who has hired people before and has looked at thousands of resumes

No such beasts in the UK. Closest may be GCSE Points or UCAS A Level Tariffs (which are EVIL AND OF NO USE TO ANYONE AAARRRRGGG) but I'm not sure if those reforms were in place when Bods did his schooling.

Why would Economics be a BA? It's a science after all, even if it's the scientific equivalent of staring at sheep entrails to divine the future.

Hmmm...I could explain the differences between the English and the American school systems cause it seems that some of you are getting thrown on the different usages of high school and college and what they refer to. but I'm lazy and tired.

It's as much of a science as psychology is.

They're both under the "social science" umbrella here and give you BAs.

As Starchild said, there is no such thing in the UK, normal to mention those grades. For the GCSE's though I'd just say 10 GCSE's at Grade A and A* including Maths and English. Also do you really need to take up 6 lines with A-level results?

It's fine. For an intelligent person it is a respectable, but unspectacular, grade. Anything less than a C would be considered poor.

I agree with this. The minute details of your GCSE performance are of little interest to an employer. As long as they know you were a straight-A student then they'll be happy. However, if you have any GCSEs that are specifically useful for this job (like an A* in French when the job description mentions working with continental clients) then you should flag that up.

Yeah, no such thing as GPAs, but for GCSEs, all As or whatever including English, Mathematics and Science.

It just seems a little too scant, one page and lots of spacing...perhaps you should discuss your degree in a little more detail, perhaps emphasising what you want to do with what you have (career direction depending). What are you looking at applying to do?

OK, have made the GCSE bit into one line. Also added an education reference and one from Experian. Plus a bit more crap about teamwork, working to deadlines, customer interaction etc etc
