Got me. Don't think the infinite worker movement bug works in PBEM, and pretty sure it was corrected anyhow. Is he suggesting GCA did the exploit?

No, GWT. Last night, BF reported (in chat) about a goto exploit that GWT appears to have used. It is being assumed that it is UNINTENTIONAL and they are being asked to replay their turn.

This exploit ONLY happens to the Player that is last in line. It can give you 2 turns of movement in 1 turn (the 2nd turns' move is when all of the barbs and other stuff do their turn, when they hit end turn).

Apparently CGN was racing to a spot to defend against GWT from getting there, and GWT had (Possibly, maybe, don't know) used this exploit to get their first. CGN had complaned and GWT is having to redo it.

It's a pretty sucky exploit, and pretty easy to do by accident. I did it once by accident in a PBEM, but all it managed to do was cost me a settler as he raced ahead of his defender into the great barb wilds beyond

interesting.

hope that the use of this bug didn't aid in the rapid demise of Firaxis, but you never know.

One would think that if they have been using it they would have realized that everything was moving faster than supposed to.

I had done this countless times in PBEM and never really thought of it being an exploit, never duirng war though. I just assumend that since the unit couldn't move the next turn it was a valid tradeoff.

Coming to think of it though, if you use it to get ahead of another civ somewhere then it is an unfair exploit.

You've got to be kidding me, its clearly an exploit when you get two moves when before your opponent gets one, even if you cant move on the next turn, you won the "race" to that spot using an exploit. For someone who complains about the Galley Fortified bonus being an exploit you really seem to pick what you like and explain it to yourself the way you'd like it to be. :-/

If you did this in FAM 3, I demand a new game.

Did you not read what I said? I said I never really gave much thought to it, it never seemed to pass through my mind that it was an exploit. After seeing what can be done with it then of course I will refrain from doing it.
