	Nominations!!! Tired of ads?

Well its getting near that time of the month when we hold elections, so it is time to start the nomination thread. If you are going to run for a government post come on and post it or if you wish to stay why not tell us.

Also I guess this is as good a time as any to annouce I'm running for FAM this month.

Nimitz, we are running now elections only every 2 months (we've changed the Constitution). However, since we have a chance to finally have a real one, go for it

Edit: btw, I'm not sure if I'm still Enlightened or not, but I'd like to be/remain.

My speach:
I have two serious reasons why I want to be Enlightened:
1. The title sounds cool
2. It requires less work than the other positions

I'd like to offer the suggestion that we don't really need elections, due to the fact we don't really need someone in charge of X, Y and Z. It is a theory that might work in a roleplay environment, but one where decisions are supposed to be taken on a majority vote...?

Certainly there have been murmourings about Vondrack taking a lot of the work involved. I beleive however that this is not his fault, but rather the onus should be on anyone else to take responsibility for doing things.

Perhaps instead of elections we can have a committee discussion to sort out any redistribution of responsibility?

FAM is one position that must exist. Having several individuals representing our interests is confusing to the other teams, increases the chances for misinterpretation, and weakens our position.

If another civs wants to contact us, they know to contact the FAM or be refered to the FAM. The FAM know the teams position and can represent our team with One Voice. The FAM knows what he can agree too and what needs further team discussion. He can take the discussion to the team and collectively we make a decision.

Without a FAM, the other team contacts someone(s). They talk to Vondrack, and Nimitz (an example). Vondrack commits to a few things, but Nimtz makes different commitments. So we not only have a problem with our foreign relations, but we also have inter-team conflicts.

So with FAM, we definitely need a position. I think the other positions we definitely need are people to play the turns. We can give them whatever title, but consistancy in that position is a must.

Enlightened has the best title, but really this ends up being a group decision.

Military Architect is need if we are in a large scale war. That would be someone developing different stratgies. I suppose they can also plan our home defense, but right now we are have a plan concerning home defense.

I guess Leo is right. FAM and turn players are positions that can hardly be "scrapped", irrespective of what we call them. As for the rest... mhm... the current situation pretty much proves that we do not need any (with the exception of The Enlightened - because for that post, we are getting one happy face virtually for free... right, Tibi? )

The Enlightened is truly the best title. Unforturnately, only Vondrack is great enough to earn the title. All the rest can only pretend.

Hey just run its always fun and if you don't try you'll never win. Look at me I ran 4 times before I got a position as FAM in a Demogame.
