I have asked tkmjcw to join. I questioned him about the same thing before he was authorized for the ISDG. Here was his response:

I own every Civ game and started playing the original Civ in college...I guess that was around 1990.
I am a big fan of PTW, but I believe that it still has some serious issues--most of which can be mitigated by playing against all humans.
I prefer the longer, epic games to the elimination, pseudo-RTS style that seem to be prevalent on the ladders. In my opinion, Civ SHOULD be a LLLOOONNNGGG game to develop the depth and history of a nation.

This will be my first Demo Game experience and I am looking forward to experiencing Civ in a new way.
As you noted, I have been a member of Apolyton for a few years. My primary involvement in the site had been in the old Civ2 Scenarios thread. Of course, I have not played Civ2 since Civ3 hit the streets and scenario development in Civ3/PTW is still in the early stages in most cases.
I have only recently become more active in the various forums. I have often read about the Demo game concept and finally decided to get involved.

My wife and I are both Civ players and one of us will sometimes use "tkmjicw" which incorporates our newest addition to the family, Ilea (10 months).
The original incarnation was "tkmcw" before my son was born.
It's a good thing we don't plan on adding more anytime soon! It is becoming unwieldy!
Soon I will have to come up with a real alias!

As I said - seems like a decent enough individual. And civ clearly runs in his veins, as well as his family.
