Reinstalled House Cian mourns death King Justino Togas

Pamplona, 29 October 301 AD. The House Cian, reinstalled as noble house after the death of its former head Aidun Cian, officially reports that it mourns the death of the just died King Justino Togas. The announcement is seen as remarkable after against the background of the difficulties that the family had with Spains Royal House.
During the reign of King Justino Togas relations of the House Cian with the royal family changed a lot over time. In the years that Pope Aidun I led the Church, relations with the Royal House Togas were good.
After the death of Pope Aidun I, relations became more close after the appointment of Aidun Cian, head of the House Cian as Lord Chamberlain.
Disappointment over the King's policies from his side and finally the revolt of the Noble Houses Torquemada, Libre and Cian greatly damaged relations with the Royal Family.
In a reaction, Diomingo Cian, brother of the perished Aidun Cian and head of the House Cian said the following: "I would type the relations between the House Cian and the House Togas as 'dynamic'. We of the House Cian always kept the Royal family and especially King Justino Togas in high esteem, the revolt of my brother Aidun did not change anything to that. I therefore see our condolences to his Highness Prince Fernando Togas and Queen Penelope Togas Libre and their family as nothing more than our way of showing compassion with this great loss for their family and the Kingdom of Spain."
The noble houses still await the invitation for the coronation of Prince Fernando Togas, but the expextation is that it will be as soon a possible as the Kingdom cannot remain for a too long period without its King. Nowadays ministers and prominent nobles fulfil of the governing tasks.

New hope for Spanish after promising diplomatic talk

Legopolis 3rd november 316 AD. Duke Francisco Clemente de Madrid, Chief Ambassador to the Crown and Lord Chamberlain has conducted a promising diplomatic talk with President ZargonX of the Republic of Legoland.
Clemente de Madrid's main goal was to form a basis on which serious negotiations about an alliance with the Republic of Legoland could start. Because our kingdom is in great need of new aid in the endless seeming war against the Axis, the alliance of the Moors and Chinese, entry of Legoland in the alliance we currently have with the Estonian Republic of Egypt would be most welcome.
It is known that the Legolanders posess knowledge that we do not yet know and also rescources that are not yet known in our lands.
The tone of the talk was friendly and collegual. Clemente de Madrid explained the most likely post war scenario and he and President ZargonX agreed that war should absolutely be prevented.
An issue is still the public opinion in Legoland. While some members of government are in favor of entry in our alliance, some are also against and the parliament remained neutral against now. Analists say that it will be difficult to pass the pacifistic lobby in the Republic of Legoland itself, however, they also say that they indicate a growing conciousness of the danger of a worldwide massive war after the Bobian War will end.
So far we still have to await the outcome of the parliamentary debate in Legoland until we can say more, however, hope has increased.

Prince Fernando Togas reaches age of maturity

Pamplona 3rd November 316 AD. Prince Fernando Togas, son of the recently perished King Justino Togas, reaches the age of maturity. Because of his age the young prince was hardly involved with governmental issues and mainly concentrated on his education. It is said that he has studied History at the Papal Academy in Pamplona.
Now that the prince is ready to take over the lead over the government from the regent and Lord Chamberlain, Francisco Clemente de Madrid, it is expected that the coronation of the prince will be soon.
Several representatives of the noble houses of Spain have been spotted going to the royal palace to congratulate the young prince.
Prince Fernando Togas remained quite unknown to the world outside the palace because his father, King Justino Togas, was so closely involved in the politics of our country and was a strong and central figure in our kingdoms politics. It is still to be seen how Prince Fernando Togas will act in the political field, though Regent Clemente de Madrid indicated that he fully trusts upon it that the young prince will govern the kingdom as good and perhaps even better than his father.

Arabian scientists discover firearms

Pamplona 5th November 318 AD. Yesterday, outlying farmes reported that they had seen a change in the composition of the Arabian regiments that camp in the mountains straight west from Pamplona. They had heard a lot of bangs and fled in terror from the fields, fearing that the long expected batte of the century would finally come.
According to advice of the Marshall, Lord Libre, and Lord Fernandez, Prince Fernando Togas decided to send a small patrol of scouts to find out what is going on in the mountains.
Today, the scouts have returned and their findings are discouraging: the Moors have finally discovered the secret of gunpowder and even worse: how to use it for firearms.
It is unknown how the Marshall will counterbalance this new weapon. Lord Cian suggested to make haste with the negotiations about an alliance with Legoland so we might receive the resources for gunpowder and the knowledge that is needed to produce it.
Firearms are mainly used by special trained soldiers, known as musketteers. They can attack as well as defend. It is the expectation that the enemy will use these new troops mainly to protect their cavalry until they have reached the citywalls. The reason why musketteers can defend better aginst cavalry attacs than pikemen can, is because their operational range is bigger and the power of the weapon is also bigger. A third factor is psychological: the bang scared the horses and makes it for the knights harder to control them and keep order during the attack, which is essential for success.

Egyptians announce Gathering Storm

Eye of Storm 4th November 318 AD. Yesterday plans were received from President Theseus of Gathering Storm.
The Egyptians have sent an enormous force of knights to the northern lands of the Chinese. The exact number is 26 regiments of knights to invade the homelands of the Chinese. This all came from an intelligence report our government received. Maps were also included with it, so we are now able to plan our strategies according to the Egyptian ones.
In the same intelligence report the Egyptians speak of a defense force of more than 26 knight regiments, of which a bit more than 20 regiments have already disembarked and another six are still underway.
Analists at our defense ministry say that this is the first part of what we perhaps might call the "Gathering Storm", the great attack that should breach the will and courage of the warmongering Chinese as well as destroy their military industry.
In addition to this reinforcement of the alliance´s troops, we have back control over our northern and eastern cities, Toledo and Madrid. In Barcelona a barracks is completed, so it can function as centre for military industry as well.
So far the war seems to enter a new stage, with bigger battles, in which our alliance is once again attacking our mutual enemy. Let us all hope that efforts are not wasted this time and that the Axis will finally be broken down to crumbles.
