I thought the article was slightly inaccurate .. but what the hell, its Apolyton on the BBC web page .. Thats a real achievement for MarkG and co, and all who got the CTP2 code .. well done !

I liked CTP2 much better then CTP. The multiplayer mode, true unit stack, group combat, and improved diplomacy, were all way better then Civ2 and in some ways better then Civ3. Activision starved the game of development funds though so it came out in the form of a beta and then Activision stopped supporting it a week later.

Only in that they used the original English spelling of the word rather than the bastardised American spelling that made it onto the cover by virtue of being an American game...
