Attending church on a regular basis, yes. 1.5m compared to 1.2m, if I remember rightly.

His name was nothing of the sort. He was however, Earl of Sandwich, from whence the name for the foodproduct originated.

There may be more Catholics attending church, but only cos Anglicans are all out feeding the poor on Sunday mornings, and doing proper Christian stuff.

I didn't know that! More practicing Catholics than practicing Anglicans in Britain.

That can't be good for the Anglican church.

Why is it either/or?

Surely you can find time to help people throughout the week, while going to church on Sundays.

Hardly. There are millions of non-churchgoing Anglicans. If you stay on mainland Britain and study hospital consent forms, I believe that in the "your religion" question the answers for "C of E" outnumber the Catholics by at least 10 to 1.

No. Muslim mosque attendance is about 1m. At least I think it is. Britain has about 1.6m people who claim to be Muslim, according to the last census.

Sort of a ...

While I went to church on Sunday, that was my first and presumably last time. I didn't feel anything. I went with a Christian friend who was visiting for the weekend, and since he was accompanying us in our domain (ie on a Saturday night out), I thought I would accompany him on his.

This week, I gave blood, and took aspirin of a suicidal friend after he caused £80 damage.. Oh well, such is life!
