Turn 53 - 1700 B.C. Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

Jonas and Dennis chop forest. Bob builds road to the new city site. Sir Kay fortifies there and the settler founds Castle de Loimbard. I set it to a Temple, it doesn't matter much what it produces, so far it's at 1 shield anyway. We can decide later.

Sir Robin makes a step towards CdL.

Launcelot has a barbarian warrior as neighbor (6), on jungle (+25%). Although he's Sir Launcelot and not Sir Robin, he pulls a "very brave retreat" towards 4. No need to risk our explorer, and no need to fight barbarians for Monkey.

Bedevere follows the hill chain south.

Set CX to +4 food (2 irrigated grapes), will grow next turn. Good for the Granary. Shuffled around laborers, maxing gold but not neglecting production. Pressed out the extra gold with ease. Philosophy in 1 turn.

Here's a screenshot of our real estate:

Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Would it be worth it to use Bob to connect our trade network to City of Snakes? Izzardia might trade away those horses for our wine...

Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

They have wine in the radius of their capital (see the screenshot). And I do not want to give them ideas to beg for our iron. As long as they don't have an extra luxury to trade (like the silks between them and Monkey), I think we shouldn't.

Suffering from ads?

If they have wine too, then we shouldn't bother. Thanks for the info.

And, BTW, I've finally gotten PTW working again (took a new copy of Civ3 Vanilla...). Assuming no abnormalities, I should be able to resume my duties as a turn player (unless your having too much fun, Sir Ralph...).

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization: The Boardgame

It's not a fun issue, it's a question of consistence. I often plan worker or laborer actions in a span of a couple of turns ahead, and it would be tiresome to write that stuff down. Let me play for now. I plan to retire entirely at the end of the ancient age at the latest, you or somebody else can (and will have to) take over then.
